VanBenschoten, Councilman Donald E. Cummings, Councilman Joseph H. Graham, Councilman Also present: Leland Cornelius Highway employees have refused to accept Board's offer of 320 per hour increase. Highway employees counter offer is 400 and hour increase and no insurance. They will pick up insurance themselves. Board members unanimously decided to stick with the 32¢ per hour offer. Discussed road projects - Cobb Street from Benson Corners to Jessie Howes - CHIPS road. Also need to seal Champlin Road from Rt. 222 to McLean. Elm St. Ext. to Salt Road on Champlin - Pave. Town Board and Village Board will meet at the Towm Hall at 2:00 P.M. on Monday to discuss Village water project. Herb Adams contacted Supervisor Robinson about a variance for trailer. Discussed possible other undersize trailers in the township, McLean is having a problem with No Parking signs. May possibly have to recind original resolution. MINUTES OF SPECIAL TOIJN BOARD MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 1987, AT 7:30 P.M& Those present: Teresa Ellard Gordon Donald Joseph M. Robinson, Supervisor L. Sovocool, Councilman C. VanBenschoten, Councilman E. Cummings, Councilman H. Graham, Councilman Also present: Leland. Cornelius Purpose of meeting was to discuss missing items in Town Clerk's Office. Supervisor Robinson read auditors report on missing funds which was completed on June 8, 1987, and just received this date. Board discussed at length relevent information regarding this case, what has happened, what has not happened and what has to be done to resolve this situation. RESOLUTION N0. 23 - REQUEST AUDIT AND CONTROL TO DO A COMPLETE AUDIT OF ALL TOWN RECORDS Moved by Mr. VanBenschoten, seconded by Mr. Graham Ayes - Sovocool, VanBenschoten, Cummings, Graham, Robinson RESOLVED, that the 7bwn Board of the Town of Groton does hereby request in writing that the State Department of Audit and Control do a complete audit of all Town records in order to resolve internal • problems of missing funds and other related. missing and /or destroyed items that have existed since February, 1987, RESOLUTION N0. 24 - REQUEST ASSISTANCE OF THE BUREAU OF CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION AND ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE Moved by Mr. VanBenschoten, seconded by Mr. Graham Ayes - Sovocool, VanBenschoten, Cummings, Graham, Robinson RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Groton request in writing the assistance of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Attorney General's Office in investigating the alleged discrepancies of Town funds and other related missing and/or destroyed items, There being no further business, Mr. Sovocool moved to adjourn meeting , seconded by Mr. Cummings, at 9:30 P.M.
