Ayes - Sovocool, Cummings, Graham, Robinson. Claim Nos. 1 to 11 of the Highway Fund in the amount of $9,74.8.28 and Claim Nos. 1 to 15 of the General Fund in the amount of $5r371.87 were presented for audit. Moved by Mr. Graham, seconded. by Mr. Cummings, that the bills be approved for payment. Ayes - Sovocool, Cummings, Graham, Robinson. Reviewed monthly reports and annual Town Clerk's report. Correspondence consisted. of: 1) Letter from Blue Cross /Blue Shield notifying us rates had gone down; 2) Association of Towns Meeting to be held. in NYC from Feb. 15 - 18; 3) Letter from IRS regarding new ID number; 4) Complaint from Helen Douglas regarding a fifth - wheeler being lived in year round; 5) Letter regarding Journal & Courier being microfilmed through a Library Grant; 6) Complaint of abandoned vehicles on Davis Road and plow digging up road and hitting mail boxes; 7} CHORES Program posture; 8) Solid Waste Public Information Fleeting to be held Jan. 22 at 7:30 PPS at the Old Danby Elementary School; 9) Letter from State Office of the Aging - David Ofner will assist in coming up with information; 10) Lists of 1986 Legislation affecting municipalities; 11) 1986 Annual Report from the Economic Advisory Board; 12) SPCA Report for the month of November; 13) Letter from NYSE&G on proposed new street lighting tariff which becomes effective 2/1/87 and has little or no change in bills. l- :.BID OPENING 'FOR. 17!. Four bids were received and reviewed by the Town Attorney, Highway Superintendent and Town Board Members and found to meet specifications. They are as follows: 1. Ottco Truck Bodies, Rochester $7584.00 Everest $8345.00 RESOLUTION NO. 1 - ACCEPT BID FOR 1987 17' DUMP BODY WITH HOIST 14oved by Mr. Sovocool, seconded by Mr. Graham; Ayes - Sovocool, Cummings, Graham, Robinson RESOLVED, that the Town of Groton accept low bid from Roberts Equipment, Inc. for a 1987 17' Dump Body with Hoist Installed per specifications in the amount of $6986.00. Ayes - Sovocool, Cummings, Graham, Robinson RESOLVED, that the First National Bank of Groton be designated as the depository for all monies coming in the hands of the Supervisor and Town Clerk of the 'Town of Groton. • • RESOLVED, that the Groton Journal and Courier be designated as the official newspaper of the Town of Groton. RESOLVED, that the Law Firm of Fitzgerald, Taylor, Pomeroy and Armstrong be retained as Attorneys for the Town of Groton. RESOLVED, that Gary E. Wood be appointed Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Groton. RESOLVED, that Gordon VanBenschoten be appointed Deputy Supervisor for the Thwn of Groton. RESOLVED, that Laura Haughn be appointed temporary Deputy Town Clerk for the Town of Groton. RESOLVED, that Henry Sincerbeaux 'be appointed. as Town Historian for the Town of Groton. RESOLVED, that Leonard Proper and Gurdon Lockwood be appointed as Election Custodians for the Town of Groton. RESOLVED, that small tool expenditures of up to $500.00 by the Highway Superintendent be authorized. RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby fix the annual salaries of the following Town Officers and employees at the amounts respectfully stated and. that such salaries shall be paid at the time respectfully specified a Teresa Pi. Moved by Mr. Sovocool, seconded by Mr. Graham, to set hourly rate of Custodian at $3.50 per hour, Deputyo'.[bwn,Clerk at -$5.00 per hour and the temporary Deputy Town Clerk (Laura Haughn) at $5.25 per hour. Ayes - Sovocool, Cummings, Graham, Robinson. Moved by Mr. Sovocool, seconded by Mr. Graham, to APP012JT Teresa M. Robinson as Delegate to the Annual Association of 'Towns Meeting held February 15 - 18, 1987, and to appoint Colleen D. Pierson as an alternate. Ayes - Sovocool, Cummings, Graham, Robinson. We will continue to look for a planning board member. Moved by Mr. Sovocool, seconded by Mr. Cummings, to appoint Lyle Raymond. • as chairman of the Appeals Board and to re- appoint David Ofner to another term of five years on the Appeals Board.
