A brief discussion occurred on the towns. proposed Wellhead Protection

Board has never denied any business or industry from coming into Cortlandville.
The town's Wellhead Protection Plan is proposed to protect the water supply for
approximately 40,000 individuals.
The proposed Wellhead Protection Plan was not developed to be restrictive
just protective to the water supply. The plan is only in draft form. The Board is
receptive to comments and concerns in order to establish a well -developed plan for
all those involved. As the town increases in growth ordinances, planning
documents, regulations must also be redeveloped to accommodate this change for
now and the future.
