The public hearing was opened and the legal notice published in the
Ithaca Journal on March 19, 1993 was read by the Chairwoman P. Caldwell.

wasn't
a
need
to
review the sub — division

changes
since
the
February
24,
1993
review.
Letters from the Tompkins County Department of Planning and Cortland
County Planning Department have been received stating they had no comments
or recomendations on this particular- application and the Board may proceed
without prejudice.
There was no public coments.
A preliminary review of the Environmental Assessment Form was completed on
February 24, 1993 as a result of no changes since then the Board felt
another review was not necessary.

a Town Planning Board review for consideration.

rezoned as M.A. to accommodate "light" industry needs. This would extend
I he M.A. zone which exists in the area. The area of land fronts on
Hanshaw.,- Road which would provide access to the land. As part of
this pAtposal the developer would respect the Wet Land Areas, to buffer
:he Sapsucker- Woods sanctuary from the back of the proposed deep industry
lots. We would purpose low intensity type, light industrial uses for the
zone. We looked up the other pg;dposal which the Board favored, of a
circulation plan of extending Meadow Lark road to one road that would
access Hanshaw Road with almost unlimited site distance.
We would eradicate an eariler re3 by this Board of a residential
subdivision which brought a second road out onto Hanshaw Road just East of
the Ludgate business. Instead it would terminate in a cul —de —sac and
develope access for most lots off of the extention of Cardinal Drive
rather then directly off Hanshaw Road. There would be a few driveways off
Hanshaw Road.
