Absent - Graham (Continued on following page) re rYr r E 1 .2. b) The effect on 'the remaining area of the Town of Groton in which the area pxoposed to be annexed is located is minimal. 'There are no public water, sewer or storm drainage facilities. The area to be annexed is a small parcel containing only about 1.8? acres and is bounded on the north by the State Highway ([dew York State Route 222) and on the west by east line of the Village. It is part of a much larger plot of farm land. It now produces only the most minimal amount of real estate 'taxes 'because its assessed value is insignificzLnt. It would still produce some revenue for the Town and for the Groton School District. c) Fire Protection would. continue to be provided by the Fire Department of the Village of Groton which provides fire protection for the area in which annexed territory is located. There is in the territory no other fire district, district public corporation, public benefit corporation or town improvement district operated by the Toti --n or by a separate Board. of Commissioners. d) At neither of the previous hearings was there presented either to the Town Board or the Village Board any objection of any kind or in any degree to the proposed annexation, although each hearing was og)ened to the floor a=nd those present were asked whether anyone had any such objections. Also, it was stated for the record at both previous hearings that no written objection to the proposed annexation had been received by either the Town Board or the Village Board. Now, therefore, it is ordered that the consent and approval of the Town Board of the Town of Groton is hereby given to the annexation to the Village of Croton of the territory now situated in the Town of Groton and described in the said, petition and in 'the exhibit attached hereto. 2591 EXHIBIT A DESCRIPTION OF TZIRRITORtl IN lni2 TOlwv OF Gmrmii 05JUED -'13 k CZEORGE TALBOT' RD 73RHNIDA Tr'.LBO'f, %,MTEXEp, TO THE ,PILLAGE OP GROTON UL TFCAT TRACT OR PA-R CEL OF LA M situated on Military Lot 76 in the Tol,•n of Gnotcn, County of Tompkins and State of New York and being substantially 'bounded as ;['ollows : BEGINNING at a point on the South right of way line of NYS Route 2Z2 where the same is intersected by the present ( 1985) division line between the Village Of Groton on the Nast and, the Tbwn of Groton on the east; rursn7ng thence S 8° 20' E along said south night of way line a distance of 200 - feet to a point marked by a:i iron rod; xunning thence S 60 CFO' w a distance of 4 feet to a point; ru'Ln.LjLg thence S 860 9' 09" W a distance of 150 } feet -to the. present 0985} divtsion line between Village of Groton and the Town o,f; Groton; x'Lvining thence substin Uiall y M 00 8' 11.l l along said 4Uvi .Lon line a distance of 483.05 Feet to the poi;tt or place of beginning acid containing 1.8' ± aoyes of land.
