S. Stewart The housing committee of Tompkins County Advisory Board would like information concerning new housing which would include: 1) permits issued 2) planning board action 3) potential sites in towns of Ithaca, Lansing, Dryden Zoning officer Sib Stewart will go through the tax maps and try to find out how many lots remain vacant in sub - divisions and approximate total road frontage for these lots, for April meeting. Mr. Dann wondered what would happen if road approved and no houses built in that particular area. If town approved road, they would have to maintain it if any houses on road or not. A couple suggestions were made concerning new roads: 1) limit building of any new roads. 2) possibly building could be focused on area where roads are already constructed. 3) smaller phases with shorter &-e of roads. Concerning planning board resolution made December 20, 1979 on ban- ning transportation of nuclear waste and chlorine gas through the town, the town board has decided to put no ban on transportation of waste from nuclear plants. The county it still working on it and planning board will see what they decide. Short discussion on 1980 census was presented by Chw. Caldwell. Mr. Cor Drost presented a letter stating that he met with Mr. Humphrey on March 7, 1980 concerning the area of Woodland Road which he plans to convey to the town. Humphrey to inspect the area of Woodland Road which I plan to convev to the Town of Dryden. He expressed that he was unaware that this part of the road was not already owned by the town, that it was satisfactory to the town, and that he saw no need for a turnaround at the end of this section. He would report his findings to the planning board. Thusfar, the driveway of Mr, h Mrs. Thomas, 5 Woodland Rd., has no public access as it intersects a part of Woodland Road owned by me. 11.5 ft of this driveway will intersect publicly held road after conveyance of this segment. The width of the driveway at the line of intersection is approx. 24 ft. Before I have a deed drawn to convey this segment of Woodland Rd. to the Town ,I would like to know whether all of this meets Town Planning Board. approval, Yours Sincerely,` Cor J.
