Stewart, At the August meeting final approval could not be made on plans presented by Tom Nederkorn because there was no quarum. There were two lots with the line ad- justed as requested by board. Mr. Lavine made a motion to approve the plan as presented. Second by C.Dann. Motion unanimously carried. Mr. Lawrence Fabbroni and Mr. Rocco Lucente were not present to discuss further details of future development on Caswell Road. The board discussed concerns they have concerning this development. The three major concerns as pointed out by Mr. Lavine were: 1) density pertaining to potential sewage. 2) traffic increase 3) total impact on character of the area. Mr. Bonn went to see the County Planning office concerning these plans and they Offic. ted out that a study was done concerning traffic increases not too long ago. a ten year period with 1000 car increase would represent about 25% increase in They also stated that it may be some period of time before sewers are put in at this area. It was pointed out by the Health Department that there is a potential necessity of widening the road. When that happens, there should be more depth to properties. Mrs. Caldwell pointed out if there is going to be more traffic on the road, does the board want to restrict the number of driveways opening onto the road. Other Discussion: The planning board would also like to revise the Town of Dryden Planning Book to update it and make it something more useful than it is now. The book was last done in 1968. What would the cost be. There have been a lot of changes since the book was done with highway traffic, sewage, railroad right of ways etc. Mr. Bonn will try and bring a rough outline with concerns and changes for future revision. Mrs. Graham reported on Town Board meeting and noted following things: 1) They wondered About an electrical code for town but so involved that the board not that interested. 2) Town clerk to issue certificate for handicapped people for parking, in New York state , where marked. • 3) Okayed sewer study. P znriing Board -2- September 21, 1978 Mr. Lavine wanted it noted that we are still waiting for a response from the town attorney, concerning nuclear waste disposal.
