HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-08-24I ti Manning Board Town of Dryden • Present: Chw. B. Caldwell, T. Bonn, B. Lavine, Zo. S. Stewart Public Hearing for Tom Nederkorn, Sheldon and Neimi Roads. August 24, 1978 Due to the Planning Board lacking a quarum, the public hearing was held for comments, suggestions and official review only. The ling separating the two parcels of land was moved to the east fifty (50') feet so lots would both be approximately the same size. This was only change from plan presented July 20, 1978. A decision will be made when a full board can meet and Mr._ Nederkorn is to be notified of the decision. Lawrence Fabbroni for Rocco Lucente - future development Caswell Road. At the July 20, 1978 Planning Board meeting, Mr, Fabbroni presented a sketch for future development of land on Caswell Road, Tonight, he brought two new proposals: Plan B - Plan C - development development showing a showing a park park in center, at lower end, • The following changes have been made from previous plan shown: 1) Develop a corridor along with a wet weather stream at the northern end of sub- division area, 2) One case, a road right of way to run along the creek with additional right of way for drainage, 3) Proposal C, work park in that area along the creek so access to park, 4) Proposal B, shows walkway to get to park. Questions brought up concerning the development, as to who will clean walkway and roads in winter, Also, who is to maintain the park, With Fall Creek only a half mile away from Caswell Road, concern about flooding in lower areas. Comments from board members: Mr. Tom Bonn stated following concerns: 1) The development would change the character of Etna, 2) The traffic patterns out of development, flow increase. Mr. Buzz Lavine stated following concerns: 0 1) Likes park idea but concern on maintenance. 2) Developing layout opposite of community. Would like to see different layout if sewage system out of question. Planning Board �2 ". ,August 24? 19.78. All three board members, Mr. Lavine, Mr. Bonn, Mrs. Caldwell, like pro- posal C best of the two proposals presented. The Planning Board would like to see a conservation report at next meet- ing. Other discussion: Mr. Lavine voiced his concern about the nuclear waste disposal problem first brought up at meeting of April 20, 1978.
