At first I had not planned to submit such a voucher, since I know planning function funds are scant after the many expenses incurred in preparation of .he zoning ordinance. However, and in spite of the fact twat this particular period was a rather "light" one when compares: to workloads of previous quarters, I have continued as active cn air - man, even beyond the "formal" resignation date submitted to you, and have been busy this summer with subdivisions and the final fire map. I will not charge or rather ask payment for this summer period, and TTereby give assurance that the Town of Dryden- fire map, which was carefully reviewed by the Varna co=pany, amid -rihich is now being redrawn in a larger scale, will be completer and distributed this fall. Duane Testut was enthused about t.e map and feels it will be a big help, other people ^ave res^ :ded favorably, too. It is unfortunate that the other sap was not drawn at the scale we had indicated. Also, although I must becin phasing, out of the chairman's duties, I will plan to eo;:vene_ the meeting in September (the 18th). I would urge you to consider In 4. the Planning Board membership; although only Ben Sheffy ..as sub- mitted his formal resignation due to overlapping area representa- tion, I know that Mrs. Hardesty and I think Mrs. Keech are de..Yi_e y resigning. I'm not sure about John Paterson. To the best of =y knowledge Fred Lengemann, Alton Reed:; and George Hanfond - +ill continue. I queried Alton about possible chairmansh`_p and he said he simply could not do it due to his business and schedule. I don't think George would want it, but am not sure. Fred r:oule =,We a wood chairman, but I don't know if he would take it. Ginza iRo z. ,;Z have made an excellent chairman, we all agree, and it is unfortunate she has felt various - pressures to get out, in deference to a special religious "halfway house" project (certainly a i:ort'rwhile one) she Is deeply involved in. In any case, new Board members kill be needed, and I urge you to begin thinking about such appointments as soon as possible. I approved yesterday the Four Seasons subd Nobles. Am waiting for Dielt Case to check out merit for Hap Sad.d' s extension of Windy Knolls w reluctantly since it reprsents 15,000 sq ft lot Still have not heard from Duane Hurlbutt on his on Pinckney Road. ivision of `L C LX /Fa ffi the bond require - e -will. approve tbat s in an zone,bc::..... 4 or 5 houses I think I can speak for the PB when I say we are not overly happy with many of the zoning changes, but we know some of the prob- lems you face. It is unfortunate that copies of the revised or::inanee couldn't have been sent to each of the PB members. Thank you, and good luck to each of you. 1incerely Peter A.
