Affected will be between 200 and 300 families in the western part of Town of Dryden. Although the postal route designation will be Rte. 7, mail- ing addresses will not include this. On Tuesday, the post office sent requests to the box holders J affected, asking that the correct address be sent to the post office izy the near future. Many resi- dents do not yet know the num- bers being assigned to houses by the Town Planning Board.. Although all properties have been assigned numbers, t h e board had not yet made the in- formation public because new town maps are not ready for distribution to emergency ser- vices such as fire companies. As soon as the new maps are distributed, all Town of Dryden residents will be notified of pro- per house numbers and any changes which may be made in the names of roads. Each homeowner involved will be notified within a day or two as to the correct number for 'his house to enable him to com- ply with the post office request. Documents which require a mailing address should be changed to the new system, he suggested. Police and fire ser- vices will use the house number and street designation rather than rural route numbers to es. tablish locations and Shaw said he felt "It makes sense," to use this designation on other docu- ments. Affected are between 200 and 300 families in the western part of the Town of Dryden.
