Att. of Peter Curtiss, Chairman
AR 2 -8188
The house numbering survey (field work) was completed in the Fall of
1965 and a tentative Street List submitted to the Planning Board for
checking, (,see letter of Jan.10,1966). 1'ecause of road ehanges,hear-
ings and other delays this list was not .returned to us until December
1866 .
Just before its return the members of the Planning Board checked for
new houses and changes in occupancy in their sections of the Town.
c.
This avoided the necessity of our going over the whole Town again.
However the new houses required trips to scattered locations to meas-
ure for the house numbers. On these trips we also checked for new oc-
cu,=pants in cases where the Poard members notes «were incomplete or not
clear. Some of these cases were distant from cur routes and were han-
dled by telephone calls - generally after several tries in each case.
Since our contract does not cover a, re- survey as for new houses built
after the original survey nor for checking for new occupants we are
making a small extra charge to cover this extra work as f3o11ows:
New houses,1966 ¢ $1.00 (Instead of 4.70)
Occupancy changes 0 ( rr!issed by P. B.) _
While the changes, ne7v houses, are noted on the original list they
are skipped in making, the count at the contract rate of 4.70 _ these
being; put on a separate list at 41.00 per house.

the Planning Boards position on the Cornelius subdivision:
"There was a short period o,f confusion in that the Board had
understood that 1r. & airs. Cornelius had intended to submit a ,final
plat tonight, and thus the Board had scheduled a Public Hearing. The
Cornelius t architect, Yr. Ha11, had not however, intended to submit
this material as a •final plat, and hence pointed out its unsuitability
as a ,final plat, Final plat requirements were discussed by the board
with Yr. Hail and Mr. & Mrs. Cornelius, and this information will be
submitted at a later date. The board .found no objection to this lay-
out as a preliminary plat provided that it is possible .- for the road to
be built as to be acceptable to the Town and Ir. Case."
George Hanford Pave a Progress Report o.f the 701 Board. He stated
that --
1. According to population projections, the school situation in
the Town is not too pressing.
2. The Consultants had prepared a map indicating drainage
patterns for the Town, pin - pointing possible sewer plants.
• 3. A study is being made for a possible by -pass o,f Dryden in
connection with the Appalachian Thruway using part o,f Route
13,

To date the House Number Cards are printed and ready to go.
However, no o.f ficial map has been printed to give to the emergency
service in- the Town. Chairman Curtiss will contact Cornell University
in regard to someone drafting a map. It has been impossible, to date,

•Ginna Hardesty gave a report on a recent Caroline Town Board
meeting which 7 people from the Ringwood area and 6 people from the
Dryden section attended. This report has a direct bearing on the
mailing o.f the above cards., in that both towns must be in ,full agree-
ment on road names. She reported that Dr. Johnson stated there was
a little over a mile between the two sections o.' f Ringwood Road, thus
causing confusion when people come to the end o, the road. He ,felt
Ellis Hollow South Road had commercial value to the name- -would it
not add value to the Town o.f Caroline? The Town of Caroline doesn't
want Dryden, telling them what to do and plan to hold a meeting with
Dryden, to reach a mutual agreement on the road name. Two Councilmen
from the Caroline board spoke to two representatives from the Caroline
board and stated they could see the situation more clearly and had not
read the petition.

Art Hall for the :.?r "': job he is doing of writing articles on the

Discussion was held regarding the withdrawal of the Town o.f Dryden

.fact that by being a member o,f the rIRFB it enabled them to get the
701 Program approved quickly. Future benefits could not be seen.
Carman Hill ' submitted .four copies of a subdivision, with health
department approval. This was carefully checked over and approved.
