The Dryden Planning Board is studying the problem of road names and house numbering.
In connection with the possible re- naming of certain roads within the Town of Dryden,
we feel that we mast have a copy of the most recent detailed official town map from
each adjacent town. This will allow coordination with whatever official you name
should we feel it necessary to redesignate a joint road or highway. You may already
have a study similar to-ours in progress; if so, please name the person or persons working
on the study whom we should contact.
It would be most helpful if you could mark, on those roads going into Dryden, whether
the houses are numbered and starting from what direction. Any comments or suggestions
you care to make would be appreciated.
There will be a special meeting of our Planning Board on Thursday, April 29, and
I hope that you could send a copy of your map immediately so it will be available for
that meeting. I know it is short notice, but we are most anxious to get going on
this problem. Please mail your map to the Town Clerkj Town of Dryden, Dryden,
New York, Attention: Planning Board.
