Supervisor Burdick questioned what a new excavator would cost the town; Pete replied approximately $125,000. Supervisor Burdick asked if the $12,000 already in the budget for a new pickup would be applied as down payment towards the excavator rather than purchasing a new pick up this year. Pete was still in agreement with this. Supervisor Burdick pointed out the town would only need to borrow $35,000 over a period of five years. Councilman Shay felt the number of hours on the machine were high, as well as number of miles. Councilman Dietrich felt the machine should be inspected by Pete and /or the town board before accepting the bid. dui" Pete pointed ^the machine has been used as a demonstrator model; which explains why there are so many miles. Supervisor Burdick said the board will table any decision on purchasing the machine until it has been inspected by Pete and possibly one town board member. The hearing was adjourned at 8:00 PM.
