Conservation and Sustainability Advisory Committee
APPROVED Minutes of May 3, 2017 meeting
Present: Roxanne Marino, Don Ellis, Bara Hotchkiss, Robert Oswald, Sue Poelvoorde
Excused: David Diaz, Andy Hillman, Brice Smith
Roxanne called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
Roxanne noted that minutes for the March 30th and April 13th meetings need to be approved.
Don moved to accept the two sets of minutes, Robert seconded. Approved.
Draft Agriculture/Rural Zoning Proposal
Roxanne noted that the primary agenda item for the meeting is to review the CSAC’s
recommendations to modify Sections 212.29 and 212.29.1 of the draft Agriculture/Rural Zoning
proposal.
The committee reviewed the draft document to be submitted to the ZUSC. The discussion
focused on how different subdivision options proposed by the ZUSC, BZA and the CSAC would
work. The committee worked through two examples of how the formulas would apply to
parcels of varying acreage and road frontage measurements. Modifications were suggested and
will be incorporated into the final draft.
Roxanne will make the final edits and resubmit the document to the committee by email for
final approval. She requested that members respond to her email by 5:00 p.m. on May 4th.
Next Meeting
The next meeting of the CSAC is scheduled for Thursday, June 15th, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
