Nancy Weitzel, Carol Benjamin, Donald Graham (Chairman), Walter Sczepanski, Gerald Catlin, Joel Gagnon (Secretary)'. Others Present: Carol Sczepanski, Donald Burdick Others Absent: Judd Leonard The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM. Minutes of the December meeting were approved. Chairman's Report was presented. Regular Agenda The Chairman proposed that we turn our attention once zoning ordinance revision. While agreeing that these issues needed to be addressed, we decided to finish covering the section we were involved in first. We covered another 4 pages. To cover more ground, we scheduled a work session for Wednesday, January 29 (later cancelled). Meeting adjourned at 10:24 P.M. The Co munity Cbuncil got permission to use the Town Hall show movies on Saturday afternoons to interested youth. At the C ty level, Don said that the County�Justice System feels an acu t. need for more space, and that that need will no doubt be. presse once a decision on the location 6f the Department of Social Service has been made. The February 12 meeting of the County Planning Boar (which Don now Chairs) was to discuss the County solid waste dis- po al problem. On further inquiry, it became clear that as a result of discussions between Don Burdick and Don Graham It had been agreed to use the '00 revision as a reference only and to resume working on the more recent draft where the Planning Board left off in November. Carol Benjamin expressed reluctance to do that, citing her growing conviction that a new zone needs to be added to the Ordinance which would encompass some of the less built -uD areas of the Town. Currently most of the Town Is R19 including fairly settled ar as like Gunderman Road as welli_as the least developed areas. Carol .i there are some activities and facilities which would be fine in a less poD- ulated area which would not be appropriate in the more built -up areas.
