Donald_ uraha.m began the mpetI.ng by reviewing the. recent '.History of the Plannin-; Board.'s involvement in zoning ordinance revisions. The current zoning; ordinance has not• been revised since 1977. It, has not been r,ificantl,y revised since much earlier, since the '77 revision consisted, in merely adding Slate- mandated sections requiring environmental re- view. Both the Town Board and. the Planning Board have known for years that there are serious ambiguities of language and confusing to ad.minister. problems which with the ordinance make some sections The Town Board - particularly difficult to requested. a- tightened enforce un r. 2 yRdl5ArifiPd ordinance from the Planning Board and were given one No action has been taken on that submission, with the result that the Planning Board. didn't know 'now next to proceed. Don Burdick summed. un the majority opinion by saying that that question had been addressed adequately in '78 and that he saw no reason to deal with it again. Rather, he thou =;ht our efforts should. be directed to me'-inp; the zoning that we do hn.ve work. The issue havincT been thus resolved, the Plannin? Board -oled.ged to work with the Town Hoard to help make it hannen. Initial efforts will focus on the '80 revision. Meeting; adjourned a!: 9:5t'D P.M0 submitted by Joel Ga;non i
