Others Presents Gerald Catlin Geer-. ahSe -T; - Ju Leorsa'r.:d The meeting was called to order at around 7:45 P -MV 7gfA- Minutes of 'he May meeting were approved, but only after considerable discussion.. The minutes catologued the elements of the zoning ordinance -t`, revision to which we had agreed to date. Joel felt that the Town should be kept apprised of our progress so that problems could be dealt with early on and so people could become familiar with provisions as they were being discussed. Walt felt strongly that listing items only tentatively agreed upon in the minutes, which are then punished in the Danby Area News implied a finality which was 'not there and would cause the Board unnecessary problems. Carol agreed and added that we were moving slowly enough as it is without having our work slowed further by having to deal with the controversy that would result if detailed minutes were published. Walt argued that all mention of what we had agreed to should be deleted from the minutes. Joel argued for Inclusion, saying that not to include them would give an incomplete accounting of the Board "s activities. We finally decided, 3 to 1 (Walt opposed), to include the detailed accounting in the minutes, but to ask the Danby Area News not to publish them, printing instead "excerpts from the minutes ". The balance of the me.P.ting, which adjourned at 10s17 P.M., was spent working - -on the ordinance. We covered another 6 pages.
