Pierson • Town Clerk MINUTES OF SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD MONDAY, DECEMBER 28, 1981 @ 7:45 PM Those present: Teresa M. Robinson, Supervisor Francis P. Carey, Councilman Verl Rankin, Jr., Councilman Ellard L. Sovocool, Councilman Gordon C. VanBenschoten, Councilman Benjamin J. Bucko, Town Attorney Also present: Leland Cornelius Purpose of meeting was to take action on Fire Prevention Code Hearing and, to perform annual accounting of all town records. Hearing on State Fire Prevention Code was held immediately prior to this meeting. Since there was no objections to code, board acted as follows: RESOLUTIONI N0. 21 - ADOPT STATE FIRE PREVENTION CODE Moved by Mr. Carey, seconded by Mr. Sovocool Ayes - Sovocool, VanBenschoten, Rankin, Carey, Robinson RESOLVED, that the To•ein Board of the Town of Groton hereby accepts the applicability of the State Fire :Prevention Code for the Town of Groton to become effective in said Town of Groton on the 1st day of January 1982, in accordance with the provisions of Section 393 of the Executive Law, and it is FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be, and hereby is, instructed to file a certified copy of this resolution in the principal office of the State Building Code Council, Division of Housing and Community Renewal, at Two World Trade Center, New York, New York 10067, and in the office of the Secretary of State at Albany, New York.
