Gay Huddle said she feels the general feeling among those who oppose
the group home being placed in Danby feel apprehension about housing
children with behavior problems.
Myrtie Hewitt said the Social Services Agency requests letters of
support showing there is a need and the letters on file do not say
this.
Michael Day said he has put a purchase offer on a home next to the
property in question and is concerned about the behavior problems
of these children.' He is a police, officer and does not want to be
one off duty.
Frank Proto asked Mr. Loehr.to read the letters of support from various
agencies in Tompkins County,
Gay Huddle felt Mr. Loehr should have letters of support from the
residents in Danby who favor this proposal.
Jacques & Helene Bereaud both are in favor of the group home, as long
as it remains a group home - not an institution for problem kids.
Harriet Adams is in favor of the group home.
Prudence Bentley said she has reviewed all the material on the group
home and she feels the.Chrldren's Community group home does not match
their model home in New Hampshire. She also `felt the letters of
support are very vague. She feels the project is a good idea but
the location (1820 Danby Road) is not feasible.
Herb Engman is in favor of the group home.
