Minutes of a special joint meeting of the Caroline and Danby Town Boards", at
Danby Town Hall, Danby, N.Y. at 8:00 p.m.
Board members present:
Caroline: Dep. Supv. W. Crispell Danby: Supv. Miller
Clm H. Crispell Clm. Dietrich
Clm. F. Woodin Clw. Oltz
(Supv. Williams, absent) Clm. Shay
Clw. Roberts
Also present: Supt. Davenport, F. Starr and 8 visitors.
In order to establish a purpose for the meeting, Dep Supv.
clerk Webb to read a certified letter from Phylis Howell W. Crispell asked

Df Reps, which certified that Florence Starr had resigned and that a vacancy
zad been created on the Tompkins County Board of Representatives.
)ep Supv. Crispell opened the floor for discussion amongst the two Boards. It
qas established that there were three candidates: Frank Proto, George Williams,
end Francis Wright. (Mildred Miller formally withdrew her application for the
)osition by a letter to both Boards.) CLW. Oltz said that the Danby Board had
:-eally enjoyed working with Rep. Starr and were sorry to see her leave. She all

Im. Dietrich said that though he was very sorry to see Rep. Starr resign,

lm. Woodin offered the following resolution and moved its adoption.

:SOLVED, that Frank Proto of 2585 Slaterville Road, Slaterville Springs, N.Y.,
appointed by the Danby and Caroline Town Boards, to the office of County
presentative for the term, January 4, 1985 through December 31, 1985.
