Frank Carey will contact Dennis Toolan to prepare estimate for lobby enclosure. There being no further business, Mr. Sovocool moved to adjourn meeting, seconded by Mr. Rankin, at 8:30 P.M. Sovocool, Councilman Verl Rankin, Jr., Councilman Francis P. Carey, Councilman Gordon C. VanBenschoten, Councilman Absent: Benjamin J'. Bucko, Town Attorney Also present: Leland. Cornelius Purpose of meeting was to close out year end business and perform annual accounting of all town records. Claims #319 to #330 of the Highway Dept. and #375 to #394 of the General Fund were presented for audit. Mr. Rankin moved that the bills be paid and the Clerk instructed to dx'aw waxrant for them. Seconded. by Mix. VanBenschoten. Ayes - Carey, Rankin, Sovocool, VanBenschoten, Robinson. There were no monthly reports submitted at this meeting. Correspondence was reviewed by Board Members. Moved by I•ir. VanBenschoten seconded by Mr. Rankin approving permission for Teresa Robinson to attend Supervisors and Legislators Annual Winter Conference School being held at the hotel Syracuse, January 18 -21., 1981. Ayes - Carey, Rankin, VanBenschoten, Sovocool, Robinson. Some discussion regarding dog enumerator to complete the enumeration in the Town and Village of Groton which was started by the S.P.C.A. The board is open for suggestions. RESOLUTION NO. 28 - TRANSFER FUIDS FROM VARIOUS GENERAL ACCOUNTS TO MEET EX?'E14SES Moved by Mr. Sovocool, seconded by Mr. Carey Ayes - Carey, Rankin, VanBenschoten, Sovocool, Robinson RESOLVED, that the Supervisor transfer funds to meet expenses for the followings • • Villarge police Gheif, Richard ring, would Iike to have his officers become Toun Constables. This would extend village police powers into the township. {fir. Bucko is checking into the legalities of sap�e. Moved by Mr. Sovocool. and seconded by 11r. VanBenschoten to add Robert F. Walpole, Arland Heffron and Cecil Twigg to the 11'st of autho7ri.zed people to attend Annual Association of Towns Gonivention in N.Y.C. on February 1,5-18.
