HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-05-24061 TOWN OF DANBY SPECIAL MEETING May 24, 1984 A special meeting was held at the Danby Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Town of Danby, Tompkins County New York, May 24, 1984 at 6:00 PM`. The purpose of this meeting was to set a date for a public hearing on amendment to the cable television franchise agreement dated October 2, 19780 Present: Councilperson Mary Oltz Councilperson Dorothy Roberts Councilman Ric Dietrich Supervisor Mildred Miller Absent: Councilman Edward Shay Supervisor Miller said a resolution is needed to authorize town clerk to advertise for public hearing on amending the cable television franchise agreement dated October 2, 19780 RESOLUTION #25 Moved by Councilperson Oltz, Roll Call Vote: Dietrich - Oltz - Roberts - Miller - AUTHORIZE TOWN CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENT TO CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE AGREEMENT. HEARING TO BE HELD JUNE 11, 7:15 PM seconded by Councilperson Roberts. aye aye aye aye Town Clerk presented the bill from NYS Department of Transportation for fee to haul salt brine. Mr. Coddington would like to have this bill paid and a penalty and interested is being charged for the time it is not paid. Councilman Dietrich authorized supervisor to pay above bill in the amount of $258.54 if and when Mr. Coddington begins to haul salt brine, seconded by Councilperson Roberts, carried unanimously. Councilperson Roberts would like it to go on the record that the board members would have the town books audited. Councilperson Oltz reported she checked with Albany and they inform her the town should hire a private firm to do this audit. The board was in agreement to contact three different firms for ,price comparison for such audit. They were also in agreement of have the books done back to five to ten years.
