HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-02-28p • i r4 • I TOWN OF DANBY SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES February 28, 1984 A special meeting was held by the Town Board of the Town of Danby, County of Tompkins, State of New York at the Danby Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road at 5:30 PM, February 28, 1984. The purpose of the meeting was to open bids for a snow plow truck and dump body. Board Members present: Councilman Ric Dietrich Councilman Ed Shay Councilperson Mary Oltz Supervisor Mildred Miller Absent: Councilperson Dorothy Roberts Others present: Kenneth Coddington, Phil Lantz, from Beam Mack Sales and Service, Ithaca Journal Reporter, Helen Mundel. Proof of publication in the newspaper was read by the Town Clerk. The following bid was received for the snow plow truck and dump body. Beam Mack Sales and Service $65,500.00 After detailed discussion previously with Councilman Ed Shay and Pete Coddington, the board was in favor of purchasing a 1983 Mack truck and dump body. Mr. Coddington asked the board if they would like to make a decision on purchase of a County bid for a Fox Spreader thru Seneca Supply Company, for $4,592.38. Councilman Ed Shay made the motion to accept the bid for the snow plow truck and dump body and to purchase the Fox Spreader, seconded by Councilman Ric Dietrich. RESOLUTION #14 ACCEPT THE BID OF BEAM MACK SALES & SERVICE FOR 1983 MACK TRUCK AND DUMP BODY, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE SUPERVISOR TO NEGOTIATE A BOND ANTICIPATION NOTE FOR $709092.38 TO PAY FOR THE MACK TRUCK /DUMP BODY AND THE FOX SPREADER PURCHASED BY THE TOWN BOARD, Roll Call vote: Dietrich - aye Oltz - aye Shay - aye Miller - aye The meeting was adjourned at 5:55 PM.
