Carolyn Peterson moved to accept the November minutes. Seconded by MaryAnn Sumner, the motion passed unanimously without further discussion. Financial Report – Steve Thayer Steve distributed the current activity reports. Revenues are on track to exceed the budgeted revenues at this point in time. Interest will be booked at year end. All quarterly and debt payments from the owners have been received. Debt payments are reflected in Account 2770. We currently have $720,000 in revenues over expenses. This will decrease as the December activity is posted but will still end up positive. There was no expense activity for Capital Projects in the last month. A discussion regarding the Johnson Control project consisted of concerns for use of local contractors, prevailing wage laws, etc. Ed Gottlieb presented a report and graphs on the success of the October Pharmaceutical Waste Collection Day. The next event is scheduled for April 9, 2011. Operator and Engineering Report Summary – Dan Ramer/Scott Gibson The JCI contract has been reviewed by Susan Brock and is being finalized for signature by each municipality. 1 2 Susan Brock has submitted a letter of engagement regarding her legal fees. Noting that this service is included in the adopted budget, the members voted unanimously to accept the modified fee schedule. Paul Jennette has submitted a comment letter regarding the proposed permit to discharge hydrolysate from the Cornell Animal digester. Our intern, Nate Carman, gave a paper at the Finger Lakes Institute annual research conference entitled “Phosphorous Loading for the Southern Shelf of Cayuga Lake” on Saturday, December 4th. IAWWTF will be contracting with Empire Fiberglass Products to conduct the NYSDEC Chemical Bulk Storage Tank inspections. On a motion, the meeting adjourned. The next meeting is scheduled for January 12, 2011.
