TOWN OF DANBY
Special Town Board Meeting
August 18, 1983
Supervisor Miller called the Special Town Board meeting to order
at 5 :20 P.M. on August 18, 1983.
Board Members Present:

Councilperson Sylvia Hiney
Councilperson Mary Oltz
Councilperson Dorothy Roberts
Councilman Ted Merritt
Councilperson Dorothy Roberts took minutes of this meeting as
the Town Clerk was having office hours.
Purpose of meeting: To authorize Supervisor Miller to make the
necessary arrangement for confirming the
order for a tractor and cutter bar mower
for the Town Highway Department.
Also to hear from Robert Flumerfelt, P.E.
present his feasibility study on the prop-
erty at 1926 Danby Road for town highway
needs. Also, to discuss bid for 1973
Tandem Road Tractor.

Discussion followed on the August 8th bid presented for a Use&
1973 Tandem Road Tractor for X11,500. Board Members unanimously
agreed the age and number of miles were against accepting the
bid. If purchased new, the payments can be spread over a num-
ber of years.
Councilperson Mary Oltz made the motion not to accept bid to
purchase Used 1973 Tandem Tractor for $11,500.00. Seconded by
Councilperson Hiney. Carried.
Adjournment - Councilperson Oltz moved to adjourn this meeting
at 5 :30 P.M. Seconded by Councilperson Hiney. Carried
Informal presentation by Robert Flumerfelt followed, with the
Town Highway Superintendent Roger Hile present.
