REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1984
CITY HALL, THIRD FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM
PRESENT: Gerard Messmer, Lewis Durland, Joseph Laquatra, Jeanne Fudala, and
Staff Liaison John Clynes.
THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:45 P.M. BY GERARD MESSMER.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes were approved as submitted.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
JosepF► Laquatra reported that no arrangements had been made with. Cornell work/study
group because of Executive Order on purchasing. Ke proposed to discuss with Thomas
Hoard the possibility of using his staff and will report back at the January meeting.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Target_„ Applications : John Clynes reported that Common Council had released the fund-
ing for the Green Street Parking Ramp,
Street Li htin : Gerard Messmer reported they are looking at an area near Greater
Ithaca Activities Center (three blocks wide and four blocks long) for conversion to
High pressure sodium. The fixtures in the area are alike and suitable for using a
GE conversion kit.
Hydropower: Jeanne Fudala reported she had not heard anything.
Count Planning Board: Joe Laquatra expects to make a presntation to them at their
next ? meeting on the activites of Energy Commission.
Tenant Brochure: Lewis Durland is gathering information for a kit or brochure for
tenants.
NEW BUSINESS:
Gerard Messmer thanked Claudia Montague of WHCU for the opportunity that Doug Dylla
and Joe Laquatra had to appear on their talk show.
Gerard Messmer announced he would be submitting his resignation and that Paulete
Conroy would be back as a NYSEG representative. He also mentioned he was in on
discussions of lighting the Collegetown project. Concern was expressed that this
might be planned for mercury vapor instead of high pressure sodium.
