HomeMy WebLinkAboutMN-EC-1983-09-15 f CITY OF ITHACA ENERGY COMMISSION MINUTES REGULAR MEETING Thursday, September 15, 1983 City Hall, 3rd Floor Conference Room PRESENT: Doug Dylla, Gerard Messmer, Paulette Conroy, Jeanne Fudala, Harold Jones, Council Liaison Elva Holman, Staff Liaison John Clynes, and guest Donald A. Kinsella, Superintendent of Public Works. The meeting was called to order at 7:38 by Doug Dylla. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes were approved as rendered. CORRESPONDENCE: None ANNOUNCEMENTS: Jeanne Fudala reported on Energy Fair Week to be held on The Commons starting October lst. Paulette Conroy mentioned a new energy conservation program for residential im- provements on a cost sharing basis to targeted groups. GUEST SPEAKER: Donald A. Kinsella reviewed the City's actions in conservation both in capital projects and "quick-fix" approach. REPORTS: Doug Dylla reviewed the role of EnCom and made some preliminary committee assign- ments. Paulette Conroy will help Harold Jones on Incentives and Robert Snell will serve on Target Applications. Harold Jones recommended that EnCom continue to push for interior painting of the Seneca Street Parking Ramp. He also presented the permanent "Miser" plaque which Elva Holman will present at the next Council meeting. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p. m. NEXT MEETING: Our next meeting is a little different. We will gather at 12 noon on October 20th at Streets and Facilities Garage (opposite the Golf Course) . There we will get a hands-on demonstration of the fuel management system from Pete Albertsman. You can brown bag it in the lunch room afterwards if you so desire. ITHACA, NY 14850 607-272-1713 ENERGY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES A noon meeting was held on October 20, 1983 at the Streets and Facilities Complex. In attendance were Doug Dylla, Harold Jones, Paulette Conroy, Gerard Messmer, and John C. Clynes. Mayor Shaw joined the group for the demonstration of the fuel management system by Pete Albertsman. Bill Szabo fired up the infra red radi- ant heating system in the vehicle storage area. Pete will be pre- paring a full year's report on the fuel system in the immediate future. Harold Jones furnished doughnuts and Pete Albertsman the coffee for a brief discussion period. Next meeting--November 17th at 7:30 p. m. in the City Hall 3rd Floor Conference Room.
