TOWN OF DANBY
SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
May 26, 1983
A special meeting of the Danby Town Board was called. to order at
7 :10 P.M. at the Danby Town Hall, Town of Darby, County of Tompkins
and. State of New York on May 26, 1983. The purpose of the meeting
was to consider a letter of resignation from Councilperson Dorothy
Roberts.
Board. members present: Councilperson Sylvia Hiney
Councilperson Dorothy Roberts
Councilman Ted Merritt
Councilperson Mary Oltz
Supervisor Mildred Miller
In the absence of the town clerk, Councilperson Dorothy Roberts made
the motion to appoint Councilperson Mary Oltz to take the minutes of
the meeting. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Mildred Miller
and carried by the unanimous vote of the board.
Supervisor Mildred Miller read a letter of resignation which she had
received from Councilperson Dorothy Roberts. Councilperson Roberts
asked that the board accept her resignation as councilperson of the
Danby Town Board. After discussion, Councilperson Sylvia-Riney made
the motion to accept the resignation of Councilperson Roberts. The
motion was seconded by Supervisor Mildred Miller and. carried by the
unanimous vote of the board.
Thursday, June 2, 1983 at 5:45 P.M. was the date and. time set to
hold a meeting to make an appointment to fill the vacancy created
by the resignation of Councilperson Dorothy Roberts.
Supervisor Mildred Miller then made the motion to adjourn the
meeting. The motion was seconded by Dorothy Roberts and carried
by the unanimous vote of the board.
