RESOLUTION 11 AUTHORIZE THE TOWN BOARD TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT THAT THE MONIES COLLECTED FOR REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS OF TOWN I� TGH,: %7 YS _I_N TfTE AMOU T OF $819600 BE EXPENDED UPON 72.72 MILES OF TOWN HIGH WAYS, Motion made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Councilperson Mary Oltz and carried by the affirmative vote of the entire board. Supervisor Mildred Miller appointed Rolland Manley as Town Consta- ble, Susan Hautala as Town Historian, Frank Haskins as Zoning Officer, Walter Sczepanski as Planning Board Chairman, Herbert Engman to Environmental Management Council, Gloria Benson as Deputy Town Clerk, and Lorraine Bard as Dog Warden. Mrs. Miller stated that the Roberts rules of order will be followed except when special roll call votes are requested. Voting will be alphabetical order with the Su ervisor votin5 last. All regular board meetings will begin at 8:00 PM and terminate no later than 10;00 PM. Method of claims for payment of bills from General Dund, Highway Fund and West Danby Water District will be by voucher submitted to the Town Clerk or the Supervisor no later than Thursday preceeding Town Board Meeting. The Town Board in accordance with Town Law AT 103 will audit all bills. Supervisor Miller mentioned board approval is needed for Councilman Ted Merritt to attend the Association of Towns Meeting in New York Februarty 20 -23. Councilperson Dorothy Roberts made the motion for Councilman Merritt to attend meetings and seconded by Councilperson Mary Oltz and carried by a vote of five ayes and no noes. Supervisor Miller mentioned appointment of delegate to the New York Convention is needed and recommended Councilman Ted Merritt be dele- gate and Town Llerk as alternate. Supervisor Miller mentioned she would like to appoint Sam Miller, her husband, as deputy Supervisor. The decision was tabled for further discussion. She also mentioned Gretchen Oltz is helping her with payroll. Supervisor Miller reported a motion is needed to approve the Senior Citizens request to use town hall twice a month. Motion made by Councilperson Sylvia Hiney and seconded by Councilman Ted Merritt. Supervisor Miller commented that Ed Inman's bill for installing the lights at the town highway barns was high, but board agreed to pay the bill. Supervisor Miller reported the Town Board members will be reporting on the following committees; Dorothy Roberts - Water District, Cemeteries, Senior Citizens. TOWN OF DANBY TOWN BOARD MEETING I17INUTES JANUARY 10, 1983 The regular meeting of the Danby Town Board was called to order 8 :00 PM at the Danby Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Town of Danby, County of Tompkins, and State of New York on January 10, 1983. Board Members present: Councilperson Sylvia Hiney Councilman Ted Merritt Councilperson Mary Oltz Councilperson Dorothy Roberts Supervisor Mildred Miller Others present: Roy Hornbrook, Haskins, Donald Wright, Florence Lorraine Bard, Pamela Clermont. Communications: at Ed Slights, Roy Casterline, Frank Starr, Ed Roberts (Bald Hill Rd.) Letter read from Association Of Towns, announcing Annual Convention to be held February 20 -23, 1983 at the New York Hilton, New York City. The designation of delegate_ for town (Danby) was requested. Letter read from Rhoda Larson, requesting use of Town Hall two after. noons @ month (2nd and 4th) for playing games and recreation for Senior Citizens. The minutes of the December 13 and 27 meetings were approved with one correction: Change General Fund total (Dec. 13) from 8355.57 to 8111.82. The Lustra Lighting bill was not paid, as bulbs were broken. Coucnilperson Sylvia Hiney made the motion to approve both minutes with one correction and seconded by Councilperson Dorothy Roberts and carried by a vote of five ayes and no noes. Privilege of the Floor: Councilperson Mary Oltz questioned why there haven't been any Municipal Officers Dinners. Last one held was in October. Also mentioned that Janet Fuller from personnel contacted her regarding necessary certification of appointed officials. Supervisor Miller mentioned that she sent list to Mrs. Geller at the end of Decem- ber. Councilman Ted Merritt mentioned he would like board members to get together to discuss plans for 1983. Supervisor Miller reported Attorney Pamela Clermont was in touch with Paul Hardesty to explain what their limitations are on zoning of trailers and that they will need to go before town board before any furtler changes are done. RESOLUTION #2 AUTHORIZE THE SUPERVISOR TO INVEST _IDLE FUNDS. Will work with Planning Board if needed. Warrants: Highway Fund Warrant #1 in the amount of $3169.99 was approved to be paid. Total will not be paid all at once as tax money comes in the bills will be paid. General Fund #1 in the amount of $12,542.15 was approved to be paid. Councilperson Dorothy Roberts made the motion to approve the Super- visor's reports as presented and seconded by Councilperson Mary Oltz and carried by a vote of five qyes and no noes. Supervisor Miller mentioned there will be a special meeting among the town board members on January 24 at 7:00 PM. Councilman Ted Merritt made the motion to adjourn 9:25 PM and seconded by Councilperson Sylvia Hiney a vote of five ayes and no noes.
