SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 27, 1982
A special meeting of the Danby Town Board was called to order at
8:15 PM at the Danby Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Town of Danby,
County of Tompkins, and State of New York on December 27, 1982.
Board Members present:
Absent:
Councilperson Ted Merritt
Councilperson Sylvia Hiney
Councilperson Mary Oltz
Supervisor Mildred Miller
Councilperson Dorothy Roberts
Others present: Roy Hornbrook, Ed Slights
The special meeting was held to pay year end bills.
There was general discussion on having the town clerk contact some-
one to do telephoning to delinquent dog owners who have not licen-
sed their dog this year. It was suggested by Supervisor Miller that
the clerk call Gay Huddle and :ask -if she do this telephoning from
the town hall.
General discussion followed on the status of the 1982 budget.

General Fund Warrant #13 in the amount of was approved to
be paid. Motion made by Supervisor Miller and seconded by Council-
person Mary Oltz and carried by a vote of four ayes and no noes.
West Danby Water District j13 in the amount of X372.33 was approved
to be paid. Motion made by Councilperson Sylvia Hiney and seconded
by Councilman Ted Merritt and carried by a vote of four ayes and no
noes.
Supervisor Mildred Miller asked a resolution be passed to transfer
monies from highway account where necessary to pay highway bills.

Carried by a vote of four_ ayes and no noes.
RESOLUTION #27
TRANSFER FROM SUPERVISOR CONTRAC-
TUAL EXPENSES $107.41 TO THE BOOK-
KEEPERS PAYROLL ACCOUNT.
• Motion made by Councilperson Sylvia Hiney and seconded by Council-
person Mary Oltz and carried by a vote of four ayes and no noes.

Motion made by Councilperson Mary Oltz and seconded by Councilman
Ted Merritt and carried by a vote of four ayes and no noes.

Supervisor Miller mentioned pending approval by Department of Agri-
culture and Markets, representative, Joe Luppino. Lorraine Bard will
be appointed as dog control officer for Danby.
Supervisor Miller commented that a notice should be put in the Dan -
by Area News regarding a recreation commission should be set up to
help the Community Council for ideas and activities.
Councilman Ted Merritt Made the motion to adjourn the meeting at
8:45 PTA and seconded by Councilperson Sylvia Hiney.
