Mr. Walpole

for the Ambulance rate
to be based on
assessments
for Town,
Village
and McLean.
All would be paying
same rate.
Mr. Walpole also discussed a proposal of 20 unit, one or two bedroom, apartment
houses on the 1.7 acres next to Sam Sill's Garage (5 bldgs. - 4 units/bldg.).
Private Corporation which is taxable. Would accommodate anyone including some
of the 52 Senior Citizens waiting to get into Senior Citizen Complex which is
not taxable. Major problem is Flood Zone which Farmers Home would probably go
along with in funding.
Mr. Rankin moved that the Board appoint Teresa Robinson as Supervisor to take
affect immediately. Seconded by Mr. Walpole. Ayes - Walpole, Sovocool,
Heffron, Rankin
There being no further business, Mr. Rankin moved for adjournment, seconded by
Mr. Heffron, at 10:15 A.M.

MINUTES OF SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEE'T'ING HELD ON DECEMBER 27, 1977, @,10:00 A.M.
Those present were: Teresa Robinson, Supervisor
Robert Walpole, Town Justice
Arland Heffron, Town Justice
Lewis Sovocool, Councilman
Leland Cornelius, Highway Superintendant
Also present: Mary Evelyn Dempsey
Mr. Walpole moved to accept minutes of previous meeting. Seconded by
Mr. Sovocool. Ayes - Walpole, Sovocool, Heffron, Robinson.
Claims #331 to #361 of the Highway Department and #330 to #349 of the General
Fund were presented for audit. Mr. Walpole moved that the bills be paid and the
clerk instructed to draw the warrant for them. Seconded by Mr. Sovocool.
Ayes - Walpole, Sovocool, Heffron, Robinson.
RESOLUTION No. 31 - TRANSFER FUNDS FROM DOT TO ITEM I
Moved by Mr. Walpole. Seconded by Mr. Heffron. Ayes - Walpole,
Sovocool, Heffron, Robinson.
RESOLVED, to transfer $3,564.45 from Dot 45417 to Item I.
Mr. Walpole moved that all Town Mail with Town of Groton or Supervisor noted
in address be forwarded to Town of Groton. A letter notifying Post Office of
same will be sent by Clerk. Seconded by Mr. Heffron. Ayes - Walpole, Sovocool,
Heffron, Robinson.
Mr. Heffron moved to authorize Supervisor to attend Convention of Supervisors
and County Legislatures in Niagara Falls on January 22 -25, 1978. Seconded by
Mr. Walpole. Ayes - Walpole, Sovocool, Heffron.
Moved by Mr. Walpole that we have a Professional set up double entry books for
1978. Seconded by Mr. Sovocool. Ayes - Walpole, Sovocool, Heffron, Robinson.
Discussed disposition of obsolete voting screens. Board gave approval to dispose
of.
Discussed inventory of assets to be started in January, 1978. What effects will
this inventory at purchase price have on insurance?
Briefly discussed updating fee schedule for Town Clerk's use in supplying material,
certification, photocopies, etc. to individuals.
Tabled paying Town Clerk for mileage, using personal car on Town Business for the
year 1977.
