SEWER PLANT OPERATORS: Comm. Putney reported that the titles of Chief Sewer Plant Operator
Sewer Plant Operator and Sewer Plant Trainee were requested to be raised one grade by the
C.S.E.A. Alderman Robinson questioned the fact that negotiations were now in process and
this should be settled by the negotiating committee. Comm. Putney explained that this

was being done at the request of the negotiating committee. .

City of Ithaca Unit, asking that the titles of Chief Sewer Plant Operator, Sewer'Plant

which may be granted to other employees through C.S.E.A. contract negotiations for 1971

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Commissioner Carl Yengo has served as Commissioner of Public Works from
1958 through 1963, and from 1965 through 1970, and
WHEREAS, he served the Board as Chairman of its Water and Sewer Committee and has
contributed to the modernization of the Water Treatment Plant, the Sewage Treatment
Plant, the Water Distribution System and the Sewage Collection System, and
WHEREAS, he served as Vice Chairman of the Board, as a member of its various other
committees, and as a member of the Capital Improvement Review Committee,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Undersigned hereby formally express their
thanks and appreciation to Carl for his devotion to civic duties, his awareness of
municipal problems and his leadership in helping to solve them in the best interest of
the citizens of the City,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the undersigned extend to Carl their best wishes for
good health and continued prosperity, and that a copy of this resolution be spread on
the minutes of this meeting and a copy thereof be presented to Carl.
