HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-12-17THE TOWN OF DANBY PLANNING BOARD MINUTES December 17, 1980 The regular meeting of the Town of Danby Planning Board was held at the Danby Town Hall at 8:15 pm, Wednesday, December 17, 19800 Planning Board Members present: Chairman Donald Graham, Carol Benjamin, James Hovanec, Wayne Rial, Walter Sczepanski, Planning Board Members absent: Gary Leonhardt The minutes of the regular meeting of November 19, 1980 were read and approved. Privilege of the Floor: Mr. Hovanec opened a discussion concerning an application for a zoning variance with respect to a building permit. Chairman Graham described the info from the Ithaca School Board concerning use of the Danby School by the Danby Town Board. A fee of $100 /month would be levied with privilege of use for Town Administrative and other functions. The Town Board is considering the use of the school building for such functions. Then a discussion continued about ways to effectively use the school building for Town and business use. Next Mr. Graham reported on the County Planning Board meeting of December 10, 1980 concerning the route 96 relocation in Ithaca. A report from Harry Missivian of the County Planning Department was read by Chairman Graham concerning the projected growth and k. census report of population and housing units in Tompkins County. The 1980 census shows a total population of 2,459 people and 886 housing units in the Town of Danby. I ,f On January 21, 1981, the Town Board will meet with the Planning Board to review the proposed zoning ordinance for the Town of Danby. The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 pm.
