HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-11-25M0 J 0 TOWN OF DANBY SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES November 25, 1980 A special meeting of the Danby Town Board was held November 25, 1980 at 8:00 P.M. at the Danby Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Town of Danby, Tompkins County, New York. The purpose of the meeting was to accept bids for diesel fuel by the gallon for November 1980 through January 1, 1981. Board members present: Councilperson Sylvia Hiney Councilperson Dorothy Roberts Councilman Robert Snedden Supervisor Mildred Miller Board member absent: Councilman Ted Merritt The clerk presented the Supervisor with the proof of advertising. It was noted that no bids were received. In other business before the board, Supervisor Mildred L. Miller moved a resolution to amend the Federal Revenue Sharing Budget and reapprop- riate monies budgeted but not used. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Dorothy Roberts. RESOLUTION #42 AMEND FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING BUDGET Roll Call Vote: Hiney aye Roberts - aye Snedden - aye Miller - aye Carried by a vote of four ayes and no noes. Councilman Robert Snedden made the motion that the 1981 budget for the Town of Danby be adopted as presented. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Sylvia Hiney and carried by a vote of four ayes and no noes, Supervisor Miller discussed with the board the possibility of holding an open town meeting the 12th of December. After discussion it was decided that this would be done. It will be held at the Town Hall at 7:30 P.M.r After discussion, Councilperson Dorothy Roberts moved a resolution that the Supervisor execute a copy of an agreement between the County of Tompkins and the Town of Danby for snow removal in the town from January 1, 1980 to December 313 1985. The motion was seconded by Supervisor Mildred L. Miller. RESOLUTION #43 Roll Call Vote: Hiney - aye Roberts - aye Snedden - aye Miller - aye AUTHORIZE, -..THE SUPERVISOR TO SIGN A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF TOMPKINS AND THE TOWN OF DANBY FOR SNOW REMOVAL FROM JANUARY 1, 1980 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1985.
