HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-11-08C] G7 TOWN OF DANBY PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET November 8, 1979 The Town Board of the Town of Danby held a public hearing November 8, 1979 at 8:00 P.M. at the Danby Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Town of Danby, County of Tompkins and State on New York. The purpose of the hearing was to review the preliminary budget and give any person or persons desiring to be heard an opportunity to be heard in favor or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or against any item therein contained. Board members present: Supervisor A. Francis Wright Councilman Ralph Wilbur Councilperson Dorothy Roberts Councilman Robert Snedden Justice Milton Todd Others present: Roy Hornbrook, Onalee Wright, Mildred Miller, Ed Slights. The meeting was called to order at 8,00 P.M. and the deputy town clerk presented the board with proof of posting and advertising which was read by the supervisor. The budget was discussed. The tax rate will increase. All persons wishing to be heard having been heard Councilman Ralph Wilbur moved a resolution to adopt the preliminary budget as the town budget for 1980. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Dorothy Roberts. RESOLUTION #31 ADOPT THE PRELIMINARY BUDGET AS THE 1980 BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF DANBY Roll Call Vote: Wright - aye Wilbur - aye Roberts - aye Snedden - aye Todd - aye Carried by a vote of five ayes and no noes. In other business the negotiations with the highway people for a contract for 1980 and 1981 was discussed. At 8:29 P.M. Justice Milton Todd made the motion that the meeting be adjourned.
