The purpose of the hearing was to consider budgeting of the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds. Board members present: Supervisor A. Francis Wright Councilman Ralph Wilbur Councilman Robert Snedden Board members absent: Councilperson Dorothy Roberts Justice Milton Todd Others present: Edward Slights, Mr. Reed. The hearing was called to order by the Supervisor. He read the proof of publication provided by the clerk. He then read a letter from the Danby Senior Citizens asking that $1,000.00 of the Revenue Sharing Funds be budgeted for the senior citizens to be used for educational and recreational activities of that group. There were no other requests for funds. Mr. Reed, representing the senior citizens, asked the board if the senior citizens could have the funds allocated to them in a lump sum when the budget is approved instead of billing the town each time they have an activity and the funds are needed. Supervisor A. Francis Wright stated that this cannot be done according to New York State Law. A voucher must be presented to the town board at the time funds are used for an activity and then they are reimbursed. As there was nothing more to be brought before the board, the public hearing was declared adjourned at 8:30 P.M. by Supervisor A. Francis Wright. Respectfully submitted, e550a L?44- Mary 0 W , c`erk
