PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT
TO THE
DANBY ZONING ORDINANCE
PERTAINING TO ADMINISTRATION
May 1 , 1978
A public hearing was held by the Town Board of the Town of Danby ,
County of Tompkins and State of New York at the Danby Town Hall ,
1830 Danby Road at 8 : 00 P . M . on May 1 , 1978 as duly advertised in
the April 21 , 1978 issue of the Ithaca Journal . The purpose of the
• hearing was to consider for adoption the updated sections of the
Danby Zoning Ordinance dealing with administration as drawn up by
the Town of Danby Planning Board .
IBoard members present : Supervisor A . Francis Wright
Councilman Ralph Wilbur
Councilman James Murinchack
Councilman Dorothy Roberts
Justice Milton Todd
Others present : Attorney Richard Thaler , Joan Lind , Planning Board
Chariman Ernest Cole , Vice - Chairman of the Planning Board Donald
Graham , Wendell Bryce , Gary Evans , Ithaca Journal Reporter , Gordon
Roberts and approximately 40 Danby residents .
The hearing was called to order at 8 : 00 P . M . and the clerk read the
notice of advertising . Copies of the Section of the Danby Zoning
Ordinance with the proposed changes were handed out .
Ernest Cole chaired the hearing . The sections of the DZO that have
been updated were then read for the benefit of the public . A question
and answereperiod followed .
All persons wishing to be heard , having been heard , the hearing was
adjourned at 8 : 50 P . M .

CABLE T . V . FRANCHISE
May 1 , 1978
A public hearing washheld by the Danby Town Board of the Town of
Danby , County of Tompkins and State of New York at the Danby Town
Hall , 1830 Danby Road at 9 : 00 P . M . as duly advertised in the April
21 , 1978 issue of the Ithaca Journal . The purpose of the hearing
was to review the proposed franchise agreement between the Town of
Danby and American Television and Communications Corporation and
to discuss the proposed rate schedule for existing and proposed
• users of the service of AT &C Corporation .

Others present : Attorney Richard Thaler , Joan Lind , Planning Board
Chairman Ernest Cole , Vice - Chairman of the Planning Board Donald

Reporter , Kevin Roarke representative of the AT&C Corp . and Judson
Leonard Committee Chairman Cable T . V . and approximately 40 Danby
residents .
The hearing was called to order at 9 : 00 P . M . and the clerk read the
notice of advertising .
The supervisor read over the rate schedvie from the proposed
franchise agreement . A question and answer period followed . The
people already using the cable were against having their rates
increased to subsidise approximately 53 subscribers from West
Danby and 16 subscribers from Newfield .
All persons wishing to be heard having been heard , the hearing
was adjourned at 10 : 00 P . M .
