TOWN OF DANBY PLANNING BOARD MINUTES , MARCH 1. 5 , 1978
The regular meeting of the Town of Danby Planning Board was held
March 15 , 1978 at the Danby Town Hall , 8 : 00 P . M .
Planning Board Members present : Board members absent :
Chairperson , Ernest Cole Robert Snedden
Alberta Wilbur Clifford Hill
Donald Graham .
Gary Leonhardt • ,
Others present : Gary Evans , Jarnes- Murinchack , Rick Dobson
The meeting was opened with the reading of the February 15 , 1978
minutes . A motion was made by Gary Leonhardt to approve the minutes
as read , seconded by Donald Graham . minutes approved as read .
Chairperson , Ernest Cole had a report from the February 13 , 1978
meeting asking the Planning Board to check into any State or Federal
funds for - beautification around the Town Hall . Gary Evans and Ernest
' Cole to check this out and bring back to the board next meeting .
George Van De Mark , Chairperson for safety at the Shady Corners
would like to have letters from the concered residents of Danby
about the safety of Shady Corners , suggesting a turn off for all
trucks ( large ) like they have on the Danby Road . .

The County Planning Board would like suggestions from the county
' . on ' the proposed RT . 96 . This board discussed this and feels this
should be a four lane with an • overpass - at the railroad and have
this con .e.ctinto green and Seneca street •. With the Hos }Oital being
the prime concern . .
Privilege of the floor : Rick Dobson feels there should be more
Ag . district on the offical town map . And that all the planning board
members should have the 701 book .
The board went over Mr , - Dobsons proposed map of his property . This
property is to be in a PUD Plan . The . board. recommended to Rick to
to send his propoe d1 map with intent in writing to the Town Board .
This to be in a form of application to the . Town Board . .
The Board then discussed the • Design Review Zdne to be put on the
offical town map . The Historic Preservation group has pictures of
the stns€ ztaresfi2n')Danpy now .. The Planning Board to invite the present
owners of these buildings to our next meeting in a form of a letter
to be drafted by Mr . Cole . .
The board has heard nothing on the Auto Salvage from the • Town Board
yet , The board needs this information before this area can be put
on the proposed offical map . Auto Salvage is nbw a nonconforming use
now . So as to haye this a conforming use it should • be . . a PUD Plan if
the owners want this . Alberta Wilbur to call the Town Attorney to
find out what ' the agreement was . with the town at the time of Court
action .
Zoning : The Town Board . has not set a hearing for the Administrative ,
Sections 100 - . 218 .

Zoning : The Planning Board feels there should be a . definition of
each section before each section . This board feels the Town
Board should hold hearings . on each section then set that
section aside . When all sections of the revised ordinance
has been gone over then adept the ordinance all at once .
This will stop any conflict between the sections .
RESOLUTION :
•
The Planning Board recommends to the Town Board to hold
hearings on each section , . reserving final decision .
When all of the revised ordinance ., section for section
has been heard , Offially adopt this ordinance .
