MEETING OF TOWN BOARD AND TOWN PLANNING BOARD
September 22 , 1977
A public meeting of the Danby Town Board and the Town of Danby Planning
Board was called to order at 8 : 00 P . M . Thursday , September 22 , 1977
at the Danby Town Hall . The purpose of the meeting was to go over the
proposed amendment to the Danby Zoning Ordinance .
Board members present : Supervisor A . Francis Wright
Councilman Ralph Wilbur
Councilman Paul Smith
• Justice Floyd Dorn
Justice Milton Todd
Others present : James Murinchack , Ernest Cole , Robert Snedden ,
Alberta Wilbur , Gordon Roberts and Gary Evans .
In other business of the Town Board a name was suggested and the
appointment discussed of a possible member for the planning board .
Also discussed was someone to represent Danby on the Enviromental
Management Council . Bob Snedden who was the representative is now
a member of the planning board .
A dog enumerator is needed by October 1 , 1977 . This matter was tabled .
Justice Floyd Dorn made the motion that specifications be drawn up
and to advertise for bids for a new roof for the highway barn . The
bids to be opened immediately precedingg the next town board meeting
at 7 : 45 P . M . , The date will be October 10 , 1977 . The motion was
seconded by Councilman Paul Smith and carried by a vote of five ayes
and no noes .
Three people were interviewed to represent Danby on the County Wide
Youth Board . Supervisor A . Francis Wright moved a resolution to
recommend Eva Mae Musgrave as Danby ' s representative on the County
Wide Youth Board . The resolution was seconded by Councilman Paul
Smith .

Carried by a vote of five ayes and no noes .

Representatives of the appointment .
Ernest Cole stated that Donald Graham has been appointed Vice - chairman
of the Town Planning Board .
The proposed amendment to the Danby Zoning Ordinance was discussed
Section by Section . Justice Milton Todd made the motion to change ,
under Section 209 , the number of days from ten to twenty ( the time
allot] d the Zoning Officer to take action as directed by the Board
of Zoning Appeals) . The motion was seconded by Justice Floyd Dorn

and carried by a vote of five ayes and no noes . No action will be
taken on this amendment at the present time .
The meeting was adjourned at 10 : 30 P . M .
