Alo, Colbert, Carpenter ALSO: Assistant Planners Sinn and Kasprzak, Press Representatives Langdon and Clark PUBLIC HEARING: Chairman Stallman opened a Public Hearing on the Westwood Knoll sub- division on t,rest Hill,,.as required by law. Following a short dis- cussion the Planning Board approved the subdivision on these condit- ions: lot 24 had final and complete approval while lot 25 could not be used to build on or be resold until a road and other public improvements are installed. There were no persons to be heard on this subdivision and the hearing was closed. MEETING called to order at 7:35 p.m. MINUTES of last regular meeting, July 25, 1966, were duly approved. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Request for Subdivision Approval - Mr. J. S. Knapp requested approval of two (2) lots in the Westwood Knoll subdivision on West Hill. Mrs. Nordheimer MOVED: "that the subdivision be approved on conditions stated in the Public Hearing". seconded by Mr. Carpenter. CARRIED. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Van Etta Dam Park - Question came up with reference to the use by the public of the newly cleaned up park. In the short discussion that followed, the Planning Board did not see or know of any reasons why public could not use the facilities available there. 2. Assistant Planning Director's Resignation - Chairman Stallman regretfully accepted resignation from P2r. Sinn, Assistant Planning Director, effective September 9, 1966. Discussion that followed revolved about hiring future Director and his assistants, also about making the office attractive enough for future officers to stay in that post for longer duration than at present. a STAFF PROGRESS REPORTS: 1. Belle Sherman and ',food Street Park applications are at stage of completion and should be mailed for consideration by Federal & State authorities in the near future. 2. Urban Renewal Applications for Downtown Stage II and Collegetolrn require some work before they could be ready for presentation to the Planning Board & later the Council for final approval and dispatch for funds to Housing and House Finance Agency. 3. Cass Park Application is being completed for final submission. Approval of development funds is expected by the end of this year. 4. Cluster Development on the ?,:Test Hill is "limping" along. Some changes and developments are anticipated in or near future. 5. General Plan for City of Ithaca requiresafew sections to be completed and then proofread and put in a final form for general use. 16. West End circulation plan and land use study is approaching terminal stage, however, some minor work has to be done to male the study complete. 7. The traffic study and questionnaires that were mailed to the employees of the South Hill industries have been completed and the raw data is being studied for possible use in the search of the solution to the approach to the city via route 96B. MISCELLANEOUS: 1. Consultant's Statement - Mr. Sinn presented the monthly statement, through August 19, 1966, for services rendered by Egner & Niederkorn Associates for the total sum of $459.00 Mr. Alo MOVED: "that the City be authorized to pay this amount".
