Special Meeting June 20, 1966 4:00 p.m. PRESENT: Chairman Stallman, Mrs. Nordheimer, Messrs, Carpenter, Colbert, Feldt, and Schmidt. ALSO: Assistant Planner Sinn, Housing Authority Director Mrs. Blanchard, Press Representatives, Langdon, Levi and Newman, Hessrs. Caldwell, Daley, and Kiely. NEU' BUSINESS: Assistant Planner Position - Mr. Sinn indicated that he had found a well qualified individual to accept a position with the staff. It was also noted that the Regional Planning Board had agreed to contribute some money towards an increased salary. It was moved, by Mr. Schmidt "that Gregory Kasprzak be appointed as Assistant Planner." Seconded by Mr. Feldt. CARRIED 2. Elderly Housing Site Selection d Mrs. Blanchard presented information concerning the development plan or the Ederly Housing Project. She said that the site was essentially the same as the one previously presented except for some minor alterations. These alterations were due primarily to an interest shown by a developer to construct a privately owned elderly housing project in the immediate area. Mrs. Nordheimer indi- cated that public development should not take the place of private development and an alternate site might be a possible solution to the problem of potential developer's using this site. Mr. Schmidt MOVED, "that the Planning Board accept the Ithaca Housing authority's development plan, as submitted, and the approved recommendation be for- warded to the Common Council." Seconded by Mr. Carpenter. CARRIED _ 5 to 1, Mrs. Nordheimer voting No. NMTING ADJOURNED at 5:00 p.m. Thomas Sinn Assistant Planner
