Minutes
The PAC discussed the draft minutes from the December 2016 and January 2017
minutes. The group wanted more time to review the drafts and will reconsider
approving them at the March meeting.
More Boxes Proposals
After extending the deadline, the PAC received 30 proposals for the new electrical
boxes. The group reviewed proposals from the following artists: Anna Adler,
Marsha Acerra, & the Ithaca Youth Bureau; Logan Anhorn; Art Happens Here, Todd
Ayoung; Whitney Barnett; Tara Caiza’s 4th grade class; Sean Chilson; Christina Davis;
Shera D’Elia; Monica Franciscus; McKenzie Jones; Elinor Kops Keuke; Matthew
Lowe; McKayla Macomber; Tatiana Malkin; Nicole Monique & Camille Doucet; Jen
Ospina; Mickie Quinn; Zuri Sabir; Copper Santiago; Richa Sardana; Sameh Shaw;
Poppy Singer; Jesse Townsley; and Emma Juliette Zanen.
After considering all of the proposals and the locations of each box, the PAC voted
unanimously to circulate the following proposals for public comment: “Big Little
Ithaca: A Kid’s Eye View” by Anna Adler, Marsha Acerra, and the Ithaca Youth
Bureau; “Better Together” by Shera D’Elia; “A Box of Strawberries” by McKayla
Macomber; “Ithaca IS Magnetic” by Zuri Sabir; “In Land Stars” by Copper Santiago;
and “The Lives We Live” by Richa Sardana.
Staff will circulate the selected proposals for public comment. The PAC will hold
public comment and consider recommending the proposals to the Common Council
for approval in March.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, March 23rd at noon in the 2nd Floor
Conference Room.
