SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
December 27 , 1976
A special meeting of the Danby Town Board was called to order
immediately following the public hearing on the dog ordinance . The
purpose of the meeting was to auhorize payment of year end bills
and to consider adoption of the proposed dog ordinance .
After discussion of the proposed dog ordinance and making several
minor changes Justice Floyd Dorn moved a resolution to adopt the
proposed dog ordinance as local law #3 of the Town of Danby and
have the attorney draw up this law showing the changes made . The
resolution was seconded by Councilman Paul Smith .

Roll Call Vote : Wright - aye
Wilbur - aye
Smith - aye
Dorn - aye
Carried by a vote of_: four ayes and no noes .
Councilman Ralph Wilbur made the motion to authorize the supervisor
to have 500 or more tickets printed to impl .ment the dog ordinance .
Justice Floyd Dorn seconded the motion which was carried by a vote
of four ayes and no noes .
A motion was made by Councilman Paul Smith to have three telephone
jacks and two phones installed in the Town Hall and assign a new
number and have it listed as Danby Town Hall . The motion was
seconded by Councilman Ralph Wilbur and carried by a vote of four
ayes and no noes .
General Fund Warrant #13 in the amount of * 1054 . 96 was approved to
be paid . The motion was made by Councilman Ralph Wilbur and
seconded by Justice Floyd Dorn and carried by a vote of four ayes
and nonoes .
Highway Fund Warrant #13 in the amount of $ 4561 . 58 was approved
to be paid . The motion was made by Councilman Ralph Wilbur and
seconded by Councilman Paul Smith and carried by a vote of four ayes
and no noes .
West Danby Water District Warrant #13 in the amount of $ 312 . 71 was
approved to be paid . The motion was made by Justice Floyd Dorn and
seconded by Councilman Paul Smith and carried by a vote of four
ayes and no noes .
• The meeting was adjourned at 10 : 00 P . M .

PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED DOG ORDINANCE
December 27 , 1976
The Town Board of the Town of Danby held a public hearing on the
proposed dog ordinance at the Danby Town Hall , 1830 Danby Road on
December 27 , 1976 at 8 : 00 P . M . Notice of the public hearing was
duly advertised in the December 20th issue of the Ithaca Journal
and notice posted .

Board member absent : Justice Milton Todd
Others present : Perry Dennis , Bill Farrell , Pat Caveney , Ed Slights ,
Bill Brothers , Sherrie Brothers , Mr . & Mrs . Alan Cropf , Moses Peter ,
Bob Lynch
Affidavit of advertising and posting was presented to the Town Board
and read by Supervisor A . Francis Wright .
The public then expressed their opinions and asked questions . Two
people spoke in favor of the ordinance and three people spoke
against it .
All persons desiring to be heard , having been heard , the hearing
was closed at 9 : 20 P . M .
