SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING NOTICE
MARCH 11, 2024 – 4:00 P.M.
Please take notice that the Town of Cortlandville Supervisor has called a Special Town Board
Meeting for Monday, March 11, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Peter Alteri Municipal Garage
(conference room) located at 3587 Terrace Road, Cortland, NY 13045. The purpose of the
meeting is to discuss and take possible action on the following:
1. Resolution to authorize the creation of an additional five (5) part-time seasonal
Laborer positions for the Town Highway Department and the Gutchess Lumber
Sports Complex (Matter was tabled at the March 6, 2024 Town Board Meeting). The
Town currently has eight (8) part-time seasonal positions created and approved by the
Department of Civil Service. This action would bring the total number of part-time
seasonal Laborer positions to thirteen (13). Hiring for these positions are proposed
for approval by the Department of Civil Service and appointment of employees to
them will be within funded departmental budgets.
2. Resolution to authorize the creation of an additional ten (10) part-time seasonal
Recreation Attendant positions for use at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex
(Matter was tabled at the March 6, 2024 Town Board Meeting). The Town currently
has three (3) part-time seasonal Recreation Attendant positions created and approved
by the Department of Civil Service. This action would bring the total number of part-
time seasonal Recreation Attendant positions to thirteen (13). Hiring for these
positions are proposed for approval by the Department of Civil Service and
appointment of employees to them will be within funded departmental budgets.
3. Discussion regarding authorizing the Supervisor to engage the services of Resource
Associates to prepare engineered drawings for the interior build-out of the
Concession Building at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex to include the
plumbing and electrical; discussion and authorization to go out to bid for the
electrical (materials and installation thereof); discussion regarding the plumbing
work.
The agenda for the meeting will be posted to the Town’s public document portal and may be
accessed by visiting the Town’s website, cortlandville.org. As always, the public is invited and
encouraged to attend the open meeting.
