Information elicited by phone from the applicant indicated that the
"stovetop" is a six burner range. All of the units are deemed to be
commercial cooking and baking equipment.
INTERPRETATION ..
['NOTE: AMENDMENT REVISING REFERENCE STANDARDS EFFECTIVE JULY 26, 1995]
In accordance- with Section 1064.2 (a) of the New York State Uniform Fire
Prevention and Building. Code, any Commercial cooking equipment which can
produce flammable vapors including grease laden vapors, shall be-pravided
with mechanical exhaust systems which are not connected to- any other exhaust system_ Such systems shall conform to Reference Standard NFPA 96-1967,
"Removal' of Smoke and Grease-Laden Vapors from Commercial Cooking a
Equipment". NEPA 96 also requires that fire extinguishing- equipment:acceptable to the authority..having- jurisdiction (local building
department) , be provided for- the protection of duct systems,
devices- and--a-nd hoods which :are co i gustse removalm
,� mponents �°s the mrechanical exhaust system.

All the other equipment noted in this application are considered to be
