Re: Late Fee Waiver for Account 2146
Ravi Desai from Sky Hospitality at 3175 Finger Lakes East Dr. wrote a letter asking to waive her water
and sewer late fee's because Ms. Desai tried to pay in person and Townhall closed earlier than regular
closing hours.
Townhall did not have any holidays or early closings on any day within the 30 day grace period in
question. Townhall business hours are clearly stated at the entrance for all visitors to see. A payment
was then mailed as stated by Ms. Desai and has never been received to this day.
There is a 30-day grace period before any late penalties are applied to any account and is up to the
property owner, not the Town, to make sure the bill is paid in 30 days. The bill was mailed 9/30/2023
and penalty was added on 11/02/2023 showing that the 30 days was given. Payment was made in
person on 11/9/2023 during office hours.
It is my opinion that the Town should not waive the late penalties as Ravi Desai has had ample time to
make payment on time.
