TOWN OF DANBY
SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
June 25 , 1975
A special meeting of the Danby Town Board was called to order at
7 : 20 P . M . at the Danby Town Hall immediately proceeding the
tu.blic informational meeting on the special election . The purpose
o f the meeting; was to set a date for Town Highway .Employees to vote
and appoint election inspectors for the special election .
Board members present : Supervisor A . Francis Wrirht
Councilman Ralph Wilbur
Councilman Paul Smith
Justice Floyd Dorn
Board member absent : Justice Milton Todd
After. reading Attorney Thaler ' s letter and discussing the matter it
was decided that the Town Highway Employees would vote July 3 , 1975 ,
at the town. Highway Barns using the highway superintendent ' s office
for privacy . They will vote between 3 : 30 P . M . and 4 : 00 P . M . They
will vote to have the CSEA to be their bargaining unit or for no
union at all . Mr . Thaler will be advised so that a representative
from CSEA can be present and also a member of the town board will
attend .
Absentee ballots for the special election July 15 , 1975 were discussed
at length but it was not decided whether to allow them or not .
Supervisor A . Francis Wright stated that the board needs to appoint
e lection inspectors for the referendum vote on the Town Halls The
following people were recommended : Ralph. .Sager , 'Grace Niles , Helen
Fairchild , Irene Cortright with Mary Casterl ine foreman in West Danby
and. Mary Oltz foreman in Danby proper . Councilman Ralph Wilbur made
the motion that the above people serve as election inspectors and be
✓ eimbursed for their services at the regular rate paid election
inspectors . The motion was seconded by Councilman Paul Smith. ,

Wilbur - aye
Smith - aye
Dorn - aye
Carried by a vote of four ayes and no noes .
Meeting adjourned at 8 : 00 P . M .
