"The state is taking all access money across the state back," said Town Supervisor Richard Tupper on Wednesday."We have to spend it of send it back." Tupper said the -town .board thought it could use the remaining $84,292 toward the sports complex. "They (the state) told us no," he said. However; the state did approve the use of the money toward play- ground equipment that kids with disabilities could use. "We are just buying the equipment and will build ourselves,"Tupper said. There are plans to get the commu- nity together and put the equipment together. Tupper said the town still needs to level the area and order the equipment before they make an an- nouncement for volunteers. ,The town board approved the.use of the money Wednesday night. The playground will be near the baseball fields. Tupper did not have size'estimate-for.the-playground ✓et. The town will work with Parki- ects, of'Lansing, to purchase the :quipment.
