The regular meeting of the planning Board was held at the Oounty
Planning Office , Buffalo St , with Mr . Ligouri , 8 : 00 P . M . Sept . 180
1974 . With the Town Board and the Board Of Appeals .

Zoning Officer : Gordon Roberts
This meeting with County Planning Officer , Mr . Ligouri was an
information meeting about our County and Town growth . And to
discuss how to improve our zoning laws .
FLOOD INSURANCE :
Flood Ins . will need to be incorporated into our Danby Ordinance
to be legal .
A permit is needed to demolish a building in a flood prone area .
A question of who makes judgements in a flood area ? It would be
our Zoning Officer,
Without the flood plan , The Department Of Environmental can step
in and set all rules .
Most banks are demanding flood insurance on morgage loans .
Any Town without zoning has to apply to H . U . D . with an individual
plan to build . H . U . D . decides what plans are permissible .
The County Planning Office will be sending Gordon Roberts an
enlargement of Flood Map for the Town Of Danby .
Zoning :
` The State Building Code was never incorporated in Danby zoning
ordinance . This will be incorporated in the new zoning ordinance .
Cabins and Camps : Some feel the square footage should be . less ,

Dwelling : Should change definition of a dwelling , add about
morals , material huildipg is built of , etc .

Home Occupation : Should be to limit of one or no employees :
With no signs permited .
Junk Yard Ordinance : Question : Is it legal or not ? •
Mr . Ligouri suggest we get zoning law : , books from other towns to
compare their laws or ordinance and how they handle them.
Mobile Homes : Suggest we get some advise from Hicks Dow on mobile
homes .
Mr . Ligouri showed us the survey of Tompkins and surrounding county "
maps of how towns grow and how they should be growing to benefit
a town . He also showed us how our districts should be (:hanged to be able
to get water and sewer benefits in the future without a large
expense to town .
The County Planning Office will send a man from their office
to do a survey on any piece of property the town has trouble
with . They will do the survey and send all information back to
the town with recomendations .
Meeting was a journed at 11 : 00 P . M . d. .-
