SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
• February 7 , 1974
A special meeting of the Towm Board of the Town of Danby was
held February 7 , 1974 at the Danby Fire Station .
Members present : Supervisor A . Francis Wright
Councilman Ralph Wilbur
• Councilman Clyde Carrier
Justice Milton Todd
The purpose of the meeting was to pass a resolution for the
holding of a special election on proposition pursuant
to Section 82 of the Town Law . Also instructions from Richard
Thaler pertaining to the special election were discussed .
A . Francis Wright acknowledged receipt of a letter from Historic
Ithaca written by Vicki Romanoff . He stated that the town is
willing to sell the Town Hall to what ever group that might want
it . Jimmy Miller favors keeping the Town Hall building for
historic purposes but doesn ' t mean to fight the Town Board .
Justice Milton Todd made the motion that the town hold a special
election for voting on the proposition for the construction of
a new town office building . The purchase of the Van de Bogart
property and the demolition of the old Town Hall . The motion was
seconded by Councilman Clyde Carrier .

Roll Call Vote : Wright - aye
Carrier - aye
Wilbur - aye
Todd - aye
Carried : four ayes and no noes .
Meeting adjourned at 9 : 30 P . M .
